Belinda loves dancing more than anything in the world. When the judges at the annual dance recital won’t let her audition because her feet are too big she gives up dancing. Miguel lives in Mexico City with his family. He gets in trouble with his mother for not sharing his soccer ball with his younger brother Pedro. He is sent to his room without dinner. He wishes he was someplace else. The magic mirror hears his wish and takes him on a worldwide adventure of visiting children all over. He goes to Ireland, India, Australia, China, France and Bolivia. He sees how other children live and what their customs are. After a while he starts to miss his mother and his little brother and the good home cooked meals his mother always prepares for him. He wishes to be back home and is so happy to see his brother he gives him his soccer ball.
